LHHT "Double" Crossing Challenge (141 miles)

X 2

This is the current grand daddy of all the trail challenges in the Laurel Highlands.  The LHHT "Double".  While the Laurel Highlands Ultra has seen many amazing runners complete the 70.5 mile journey from Ohiopyle to Seward over the years.  Only 2 people are known to have completed the challenge of doing it out and back."  The LHHT "Double" Challenge is doing the whole trail twice in one effort. Obviously no time limits have been set.  Both successful runners have gone North/South.  Started in Ohiopyle turned around in Seward, then returned to Ohiopyle.  A total of distance of 141 miles.  So simple to explain, very hard to accomplish.  My hat is off to these 2 athletes for pulling off this route.  I hope to join this list next spring.

  1. We can now add a third :) I finished the double Sunday as (I think) the first female to attempt and complete this amazing challenge!
